Meet the dietitian

Working with the Sodexo Campus Dietitian, we created and presented stations with snacks and other free goodies for the UMKC Student population to let them know about the dietetics services offered to them. We provided allergy-free snacks and information. The students loved the green smoothies!

SPICE MARKET PROJECT

Spice Market was a Pop-Up Restaurant concept I planned and executed with the help of student employees. There is a large population of transfer students from India at the campus. We wanted to provide them with traditional Indian food as the school-year came to a close. I worked closely with students to create our own recipes and produce quality foods on a daily basis.

I provided education on the health benefits of traditional Indian food, and it’s ingredients.

Sustainability initiatives at UMKC

The Green Box Initiative was created to reduce waste, and increase use of the Dining Hall. Students can take their meals to go, while using a plastic box provided with the purchase of their meal plan. This allows them to take food to go, rather than sitting at the dining hall to eat. These posters advertise and explain how the Green Box system will work, and why it was implemented.
