My Dietetic Internship

I completed my Dietetic Internship with Sodexo Dietetic Internship. This experience of 1024+ supervised practice hours was an amazing experience that allowed me to learn in many different dietetics settings.

I worked in a clinical setting at a 150-bed hospital in a Kansas City suburb. I focused on the Critical Care Unit during this time. I also served in general Med-Surg population and gained experience in long term care settings.

I completed my Foodservice Management rotation at University of Missouri- Kansas City, where I had the opportunity to take on many exciting projects.

I completed a self-created Leadership Concentration in Outpatient Counseling in the Hospital Setting. Here I worked one-on-one with patients using counseling strategies and education to treat patients with a variety of different conditions and struggles.

I completed my Community Rotation at various locations including outpatient counseling, health fair, eating disorder clinics and more.

My Internship Rotations

  • Clinical Rotation

    My clinical rotations were completed at a 150-bed hospital in a suburb of Kansas City. Here I focused on critical care patients, progressive care patients, and med-surg patients.

  • Community Rotation

    My community rotation gave me the opportunity to present to various groups on a diverse range of topics from label reading to sports nutrition.

    I worked with adults, children, and adolescents during this time. Click below to see some of the projects I completed.

  • Food service management

    My Foodservice Management rotation was completed at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. I was able to work on a variety of catering events, help with sustainability initiatives, and open a pop-up restaurant. Working with students was so much fun.

  • Leadership Concentration

    My self-directed Leadership Concentration was focused on Outpatient Counseling in the Hospital Setting. Here I was able to refine my counseling skills and work with a variety of patients, from young to old, with a variety of conditions and goals.
